Retirement

After a long and illustrious career Ms. Andrea Brown is retiring from CIVA and the field of education.  We are honored to have served our community alongside Ms. Brown.  We thank her for her empowering impact upon countless young people, for inspiring them to always aim high and overcome challenges.

Ms. Brown is originally from the great state of Wisconsin. There she received a B.S. in Home Economics Education and a M.A. in History. While in Colorado, Ms. Brown has received degrees in Educational Leadership, B.S. Art, and M.A. Special Education. She has been teaching for almost 30 years. She has taught in middle schools, high schools, and in college. While teaching in Florida she was awarded Teacher of the Year and in 2015 was named Colorado Educational Leader of the Year.

Ms. Brown will be dearly missed from our community.  We wish her the best as she enjoys her time with her family and friends.

Fall OLE

Our Fall OLE (outdoor learning expedition) is September 11-September 13 at Frontier Ranch in Buena Vista.  All paperwork and payment (or payment arrangements) must be made by August 27th.  Forms will be available on the website on August 1st.  Please remember that the Power of Attorney must be signed in front of a notary (a notary will be available at CIVA at no charge on registration day).
