Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award
District 11 Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Engstrom, recognized CIVA for earning the Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award for 2019. CIVA has earned this award in 3 of the past 4 years. The Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award is given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools "exceed" expectations on the indicator related to longitudinal academic growth and "meet or exceed" expectations on the indicator related to academic growth gaps.” Congratulations to the CIVA students and staff for this remarkable achievement.
