The purpose of the Governing Board is to support CIVA as a charter public school dedicated to developing students' character first by:
Preparing administrators, teachers, parents, mentors, and students to develop character within the school curriculum and larger learning environment;
Providing and maintaining a school facility and infrastructure in which to carry out the school's mission;
Managing research to assess the effectiveness of the school's educational progress.

Board Meeting Schedule
Our next meeting will be on Aug 19 at 5:30 PM. Click here for the agenda. This meeting is at CIVA, and the public is welcome. Comments will be limited from 5:30 PM to 5:45 PM.
Meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month unless otherwise noted above.

The Board of Education Policy Manual
CIVA is guided by the policies of District 11. The school has requested certain policy waivers. CIVA policies are continually being updated by the Board of Governance.
The Board of Education Policy Manual is structured by area or section. The system contains 12 sections A - L. From the Section List you will be able to go directly to the individual policies or regulations.
