All State Choir
February 1-3, 2018, Emmet and Charlize had the opportunity to represent CIVA at All State Choir. The audition to be in one of the All State ensembles is quite rigorous, and is easily one of the most daunting vocal auditions a high school student in Colorado can undertake. Emmet and Charlize are the first students in CIVA history to make it into this phenomenal event, and we are so proud of their hard work!
ThesCon
In December, 2017, 12 members of the CIVA Acting Workshop attended ThesCON in Denver, CO. Several of our students participated in Individual Events where they were adjudicated on their performances. All received great feedback and ratings. However, three of our students earned Superior ratings from all judges - in not one, but two separate IE's... EACH! Because of their accomplishments, these young women have been extended an invitation to perform their Superior IE's at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska this June!
Congratulations to Delaney, Scarlett, and Alyssah for achieving this honor celebrating their hard work and dedication to their craft. Also, a big thank you to CIVA for supporting all of our artists in their pursuits.
21st Anniversary
CIVA will be celebrating 21 years with a concert on March 15, 2018. Please join us at Stargazers Theatre and Event Center. Tickets are available on our website at https://www.civacharterschool.org/payment-center/. VIP tickets include hors d'oeurves and preferred seating. Performers for the concert are Grant Higgins, Crys Matthews and CIVA Ravens.
Silent Auction
Again this year, we will be collecting items for the silent auction portion of the anniversary celebration. If you would like to volunteer to assist or have something you'd like to donate, please contact the front office at 633-1306.
Enrollment
CIVA is entering the main enrollment window for the 2018-2019 school year. We are looking to expand our enrollment slightly for next year. If you refer a family/student to CIVA and they enroll in the fall, you will receive a scholarship for the Fall OLE and the Activit Fee will be waived.
England/Scotland
CIVA's international trip in the summer of 2019 will be to England and Scotland. Students, family members, alumni and friends are welcome along. For more information click here or contact the front office at 633-1306.
