CIVA School

Preparation for Life

We are very delighted to learn of your interest in CIVA Charter School. We are pleased to offer our students a rigorous academic and character development program designed to foster the development of young scholars, citizens and artisans. CIVA balances college preparation academic courses, performing arts, athletics, community service and wilderness experiences to support our students in discovering and developing their unique potential with the goals of preparing quality scholars, artisans and citizens.

CIVA has offered a valued program to the students and families of the Colorado Springs area for over a decade. While providing our students a comprehensive preparation for life, our goals reach far beyond college preparation. The CIVA philosophy assumes each student is gifted with a unique potential and vision, and that the key to their development is a rigorous integration of intellectual growth with character growth.

A key component of CIVA is the involvement of parents. Through our parental program, we seek to foster development for the family to ensure healthy character growth for students and parents. We ask our parent community to make a commitment to adopting the value of personal growth. We offer parent seminars, community meetings and many opportunities for our parents to volunteer with the school. We believe that our parents are the primary teachers of character. Our parent program is centered around ten design principles.

Vision

To assist each student to understand
