Dress Code
The dress code guidelines are in place to raise the standards and to help build a higher code of conduct at CIVA. All of the guidelines will be strictly enforced. CIVA believes that the manner in which students dress, accessorize and groom themselves affects the learning environment. By their appropriate appearance, students help create an environment that is conducive to their own as well as all student's learning. Students' appearance, therefore, clearly has a direct and indirect influence on school decorum and student achievement.
Unacceptable Dress:
- Any clothing that graphically is sexually suggestive, obscene, profane or drug, tobacco or alcohol-related.
- Any clothing or accessories that are disruptive or a potential threat to the safety or welfare of any student (e.g. chains or spikes).

- Clothing shorter than mid-thigh.
- Exposure of body parts or underwear with sagging clothing.
- Hats.
- Halter tops or "spaghetti strap" tops.
